ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: books can be your best friends, keeping you company and helping you to dream, and your pocket mentors – every page a mini-lesson waiting to be absorbed – #amreading December

Hello, my lovely readers and reading community.

I’m sure you know by now that I love love books, and I read like my life depends on it. And as a published author I read even more; to learn more about the craft and see how other authors are developing their stories.

BOOKS ARE NOT JUST FOR LEARNING

I have mentioned many times before that, if you need to solve a problem, answer a question, or learn a new skill, there’s a good chance you can find what you’re looking for in a book. But to make the most of it and find your ‘virtual mentors’, you need to digest the books, ask them questions. What did the author intend when writing? Then make notes, summarise, underline…. treat them as an experience. A conversation.

This month though I’d love to share with you my love of both non-fiction/self-help and fiction – beautiful stories, excellent reads. Perfect to cuddle up with some nice cocoa. Or perfect for gifting.

Life is a never-ending journey, with experiments and lessons at every corner and a book to match them – ready?

MY 4 BOOKS ON THE GO THIS MONTH

The average CEO reads 52 books per year – that’s one book every week. My four books on the go this month – #amreading December – are::

What about you? What are your books on the go this month? What will you be gifting?

And here comes so shameless self-promo too: why don’t you try my latest novel, Gabrielle? An excellent read if I say so my ( and so do the readers).
