ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: book reviewThe One Minute Manager

Today I’m going to do a quick review on The One Minute Manager by Ken Blanchard & Spencer johnson.

This book is not new. It was initially published in 1982, but I believe it is still relevant today. Using simple concepts like the One Minute Goals, One Minute Praising, and One Minute Reprimands, it is a small but incredibly to the point and helpful book about management and how to get significant results from people in very little time.

In this digital age where everyone is asked to do more with less (and to do it yesterday), it is a quick read and an excellent tool for first-time managers and small business owners who are starting to employ people.

Actually, no, it is a great tool, period.

Read it.

The One Minute Manager is the gift that keeps on giving; the book is easy to read, the principles are easy to implement and they are timeless. ALL about humans and their psychology. Ken Blanchard has actually written many more of these quick and useful gems, some by himself and some with co-authors. So expect more reviews from me to come. And much more for you to read. Happy reading!
