ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: get out of your way – it is all in your head! If it worked for THE Pam Grout, it can work for you too!!!

Get out of your way – It Is All in Your Head!!! Affirmations for writers to write with imagination and intuition.

If you follow my blog or follow me on Twitter, you cannot have escaped my recent experimentation with The Law of Attraction and Pam Grout‘s book E-Squared.
For me, this was far more than reading and reviewing a book. And or trying to prove if The Law of Attraction works.
You see, I have always been a believer in the power of the mind. Call me stubborn, but I never believed in no for an answer when I wanted something. Heck, I wrote a book called STOP IT! It’s all in your head!.

ART & SOUL + WRITE FOR YOUR LIFE

When I read E-Squared (then E-Cubed and now Art & Soul Reloaded [another Grout’s gem] + Write for Your Life by Lawrence Block – book recommendation from Grout ), I found out it is possible to push myself further. AND unleash my creativity, getting out of my way.  Read my blog What did I learn from reading E-Squared and E-Cubed by Pam Grout? if you want to know more.

In Write for Your Life Block helps you to connect with your capacity for self-expression and write not just with the analytical thinking part of the mind but also write (and connect) with your imagination and intuition. Most importantly, it digs into the belief system that stands in the way of your success. It’s all in your head, you see…., that inner critic that says you are not good enough, your fears, blah blah… blah blah blah.

AFFIRMATIONS FOR WRITERS

Grout used the book herself at the beginning of her career to get rid of her self-doubt and out of the way of her best writing. She followed all the exercises in the book, including writing and posting to herself affirmations on postcards for 30 days. I can see my postman is going to have some fun.

Art & Soul is a year-long apprenticeship for reclaiming the bold, wild creative side in all of us. A week by week discovery and practice to let go of preconceptions and have some fun. Well, within the first few pages, I knew I was in the right place.

ART & SOUL INTRODUCTION

“All my life, I’ve been a closet bohemian… I always longed to live big, be outrageous.
As much as I like St. Francis of Assisi,… I like wild people better. People who live outside the bell curve. Either side…
Yes, I want to suck the marrow out of life, be Zorba the Greek. But at the same time, I want people to like me. I woke up one day to discover that my bold Isadora Duncan self had given away to a rote, lonely life. Instead of running with wolves, I seemed to be crawling with the lemmings…”.

FOLLOW YOUR INTUITION

My God, those few lines struck a chord in me and resonated in my soul. As they say, when the pupil is ready, the teacher appears. I Am Ready, and I want to run with wolves. I always wanted to…being outside ‘THE Box’.

So as Block says it:
I am now willing to act in the presence of fear. I hereby resolve that I will never again allow fear to keep me from doing something I genuinely desire to do”.

And YES, I will write and post my affirmations for writers, too …

Now is the time for me to dig deeper and take my journey to the next level with the help of these two new teachers that I have shown up in my life. And yes, that includes blogging, as Mike Hyatt says in Platform, daily.  After all, the only way to have the life that you want is to JUST DO IT.

So, affirmations for writers, here I come.
