End Of Year Roundup And What’s Up For The New Year – Behind The Scenes Of My Business – Updates From An Independent Creative

The PeopleAlchemist Edit: change & transformation, business & lifestyle experimentation for TheWomanAlchemist – behind the scenes – End of year roundup

Hello there, and welcome back to my end of year roundup  Behind the Scene blog, evaluating my creative and business life for this year and reviewing my business goals. Let’s start!

End of year roundup: business goals review

I started the year setting up 2022 to be a year of consolidation and expansion, creatively (what I write), mentally (what I learn about) and physically in terms of my health/lifestyle and travelling.

Health-wise it has been great, and I am very happy about that. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to travel much as I wanted. I was kind of under house arrest and not allowed to leave the house (metaphorically) as I have been writing and publishing non-stop.

My main goal for 2022 (but also an ongoing one) was to adopt a long-term perspective and focus on creating assets, practices and systems to grow. Establishing a fully digitalised business. The last couple of years has proved the resilience of the global digital, scalable business model and multiple income streams with the accelerated digital transformation in almost every sector.

I am happy to say that my author business is now digital-first, global and scalable, and location independent.

Other goals for 2022 were to:

  • Publish wide (multiple platforms and formats) with related content
  • Sell direct (books, audiobooks and courses)
  • Do early releases, e.g. release my new books and audiobooks first on my direct sales platform before publishing to the other stores to encourage direct sales.

I do indeed publish wide now, which means that my books are available in books stores and can be ordered in libraries. I didn’t, however, work on creating courses as I focused on publishing rapid releases fiction. This goal will definitely shift to next year.

Additionally, I discovered that, even though my intention was to sell direct (and still is), the biggest platform/audience for my books remains Amazon. Without any doubt.

I will continue with my effort to sell direct and increase my subscriber list. I mean, who doesn’t want to sell on a platform that you can control and get money from almost immediately? However, as any business owner out there, I need to go where the customers are. So at the moment, I am experimenting with publishing exclusively on Amazon, at least in the ebook format.

I love writing and publishing books. But I still want to continue to serve my community of readers and subscribers and, differentiate myself as a writer and write more on the future of work, change & transformation and advancing women in the workplace – my previous life expertise. I have spent after all more than 15 years for global organisations and then as a freelance consultant implementing business change.

Therefore, my website is geared to help women take ownership and responsibility for their career/business and life and climb that ladder up to the ceiling and smash it if that is what they wish. On my website, you will find information and inspiration on change & transformation for business and life through over 1200+ articles, books, and tools.

Book Publishing in 2022

I have been writing and publishing non-fiction positive psychology success books for women and resources to help #TheWomanAlchemist in every woman to change their life, business or career and transmute any circumstance into gold, a bit like magic, to UNLOCK IGNITE TRANSFORM since 2017.

This year I published another non-fiction book: 90 Days To Reboot Your Career, a practical and clear, direct-action personal improvement guide with an accompanying planner and colouring book to help every woman to achieve what she desires in her career. The book is laid out as a journey for 90 consecutive days. And in 90 days, you can definitely reboot your career.

You can get the book, planner and colouring book on Amazon. Perfect present if you ask me 😉

I also, following my debut novella Gabrielle in 2021, doubled down into contemporary romance and wrote the follow-up to Gabrielle and full series – The Nine Lives of Gabrielle: For Three She Plays, For Three She Strays and For Three She Strays.

The Nine Lives of Gabrielle, the complete series, including additional, never published chapters, just in time for the last-minute Christmas presents rush, is NOW OUT!

The book will be available both as Ebook exclusively on Kindle Unlimited and, in the Hardback edition, at all major retailers (free at your local library if you request it).

The Nine Lives of Gabrielle is a whirlwind romance and a journey of self-discovery, focusing on city life with a dab of billionaire office romance and a strong female lead with backbone, a big heart and a stubborn streak. It will make you gasp, reflect, cry and gasp while enjoying the excitement of the Big Apple, dreaming of Paris and longing for London.

Like the nine lives of cats, Gabrielle first plays, then strays, and finally, she wants to stay.

But is the course of true love always plain sailing? Well, sometimes it takes more than nine lives to find out, and so this new book contains the full series: Gabrielle, For Three She Plays, For Three She Stray and For Three She Stays plus additional three lives, For Three She …

The Ebook Boxset is available exclusively on Amazon.

You can READ it for FREE on Kindle Unlimited.

The Hardback Collector Edition also includes FAQs with the Author, moi.

Available at bookstores near you, of course, on Amazon and Barnes & Nobles.

You are welcome and Merry Christmas!

End of year roundup over; thanks for reading, and I’ll see you next year.
