Hello there, I’m so happy you are here for another of my Behind the Scene blogs. 

Last November I published my first short novel: Gabrielle – from the diary of, the first instalment and prologue to the series The Nine Live of Gabrielle: For Three She Plays, Three She Strays and The Last Three She Stays.

GABRIELLE – IN SHORT

A quick reminder: Gabrielle is a portrait of one day in a woman’s life through her morning pages.  The city of London during lockdown the background.

As Gabrielle writes in her morning pages, she is flooded with vivid memories of the past and intense responses to the present. She re-examines her choices throughout her life.

A woman among men jockeying for power, Gabrielle is direct, unshakable and has created a world where she rules alone. She has fought hard for her independence. Yet, she is in search for love and longs to be a housewife and taken care of. The relationships with the men in her life were made up, as one makes up the better part of life through thoughts and perceptions, realizations subjectively made by the drama of self-created identities

As she stands inside the lived moment, the “continuous present” of her life keeps intruding into her thoughts on this day in London.

FOR THREE SHE PLAYS

The story now continues with the next instalment, The Trilogy: For Three, She Plays …

As she continues in her daily life, now out of lockdown and with a new man in her life, the “continuous present” of her life continues to intrude and the recollections of her life keep on flooding, ever so vivid. Past life, past men, past fun 😉

And so she plays ….

The Trilogy will be out on 17 May.
