A public diary on how I’m beating procrastination and finally writing ( and publishing) a book – Diary Day 7

Diary Day 7 and today, I edited both the book interviews (I’m doing it in batches – I have many) and the freewriting I did.

Freewriting is liberating and allows no censorship, just pouring all your ideas on paper. I have tried both freewriting on a computer and on paper, and I prefer freehand, no checking of grammar, punctuation, and so on. I suppose, if I want people to be able to read the book and remotely understand what I’m trying to say, some structure in the sentences is necessary …;-p

I’m going on a social media detox this weekend – this means no blogging, no Twitter, no Instagram, and so on (I will still keep a diary and summarise on Monday). Of course, I am still accountable, but most of all to myself: I owe myself to be the best I can be and live up to my dreams and expectations. I believe though that spending even one day (or more if you can) away from social media can be one of the best things to do as a mindfulness fix – to support sound and positive mental health – and so …

Bye-bye, social media. I will see you on Monday for a Day 8-9-10 summary.

Have a great weekend  xxx

Check out the diary for Days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
