ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: business and life experimentation and the Power of Vision Boards to spur creativity

I think I have taken this ‘everything I do for enjoyment furthers my writing career’  a bit too far and have not been writing much last week. It is now week 12 of Art & Soul Reloaded and, serendipity and all, this week actIvity is just what I need right now: making a Creativity Vision Board. That’s right – the power of vision boards.

The Power of Vision Boards To Sour Creativity

Pam Grout in week 12 chapter ‘Artist Heal Thyself’ talks about the incessant need of humans to regurgitate the past, the struggle, the baggage that we like to remind ourselves we carry – and remind everyone else too (I was wondering at this point if I am self-sabotaging somehow here with the non-writing thingy).

However instead of analyzing the why (blah, blah blah, blah blah blah…) I can hear Grout’s voice in my ear: ‘ Follow your muse, don’t work on your shortcoming. Get p*****d off, get social, Create – You Have a Voice!’.

Perfect timing for making a vision board but, instead of the usual board full of things I’d like to receive/materialize in my life,  the exercise is about making a vision board about the things I want to create.

So tonight I am going to do just that and let my Inner Guide, My Muse inspire me – No Limit :

  • I am a Writer
  • And I DO have a voice
  • I am here to express myself and to create

What about you?

What is your experience with Vision Boards? Have they helped you to manifest/focus on what you want?

#Comment #share – it is good to talk ;-p
