ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: imagination can take you everywhere – are you ready to fly?
My Destiny Lies Squarely On The Back Of My Imagination‘ – Shonda Rhimes.
Imagination behaves the same as our bodies/muscles: it atrophies if you don’t use it. The more we limit ourselves, the less we can connect to our limitless self, the one connected to the universe. The more we rationalize, the less we can answer the ‘BIG’ questions with our constricted paradigms.
This week Chapter 15/Week 15 of Art & Soul Reloaded is all about strutting our stuff and taking back the reins of creativity – art is not something aloof and distant but ‘a tool for living, a spiritual calling‘ says Grout.
It is about exercising our inner child, the wondrous/wild part of us that is uniquely us – before we conform to social rules.
‘I had the richly furnished and impregnable keep of my imagination‘ – Poe Ballantine.
I don’t know about you, but I liked my inner-child, and I’d love to bring it back – sounds fun. My destiny lies in my imagination.
The exercise for the week is: Make A Self-Portrait.
Well, I made one ( main picture): what do you think?
Show me yours…
