The etheric body remains attached b an etheric ligament called in the Bible the Silver Cord.

Death is the severing of the Silver Cord.  …

Be assured; I have not gone completely banana. If you believe in God (however you choose to call Him/Her/It) then you cannot deny the concept. He is Omnipresent and Infinite, Always Was, Always Is and Always will Be. If you do not, then it is accepted by quantum physicists and scientists that we are made of energy.

And what is energy? Something that always was, is and always will be. I don’t about you, but it brings me comfort.
