What is Emotional Agility, then?
Emotional Agility is basically speaking, the ability to manage your thoughts and feelings.
- Showing Up = recognise their own emotions and confront them with curiosity and kindness
- Stepping Out = detachment and observation.
- Walking Your Why = identifying own core values
- Moving On = implementation of changes
Positivity is a “new form of moral correctness, denying the reality of who we are as human beings“, says David.
Emotionally agile people need the skills and resources to thrive in our fast-changing world. There are no good or bad ways of feeling – it is a totally subjective matter part of the human experience.
I’ve never found negativity useful in facing any problems that came my way, au contraire, although I can understand that positivity preaching can get on people’s nerves, especially when facing adversity and/or unwanted change.
