ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: Remembering the past makes for a better future
Today is Remembrance Day.
I do know that many people object to war and do not wish to “wear a poppy” for this reason.
To be fair, who likes war?
I strongly doubt the millions of soldiers on the battlefield today or in the past or the fallen soldiers “liked” war; they are doing and did their duty and sacrifice/d their lives so that we can have today a democratic debate about it.
If you disagree with the war, sign a petition, protest, march, and let your voice be known to your government.
Do not disrespect these courageous men and women who died for us. They only deserve our thanks on this Remembrance Day and every day. They truly gave their tomorrow, their future, so we could have our today where we can debate, even about war – doing or not. We shall never forget them and be thankful. Remembering the past and learning the lessons taught makes for a better future where, hopefully, we do not repeat the same mistakes. New ones, perhaps, but hopefully not the same ones.
REMEMBRANCE DAY
They gave their tomorrows so we could have our today …
Lest we forget
So today and everyday, to the Fallen Heros, thank you for your sacrifice xxx
