ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within – Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist – A RESPONSE RIGHT NOW

Hello and welcome back.

I hope you have been practising not blaming yourself for others’ behaviour or at least stopped people-pleasing. Have you?

It is OK to look after yourself and put yourself first in your journey toward your Best Self. And this also includes not being constantly available. I don’t mean emotionally available but physically. E.g. jumping whenever you get a text/email/notification from someone, from work for example.

We are now living in a culture/environment where everything is accessible online and immediately. We need everything right now. Netflix comes to mind where people can no longer wait for the next episode in a series and binge watch instead. The same applies to everyday interactions, even more so now that many have switched to work online and the lines between work and life have blurred even more.

Everybody needs a response right now.  Everything is deemed important, and urgent when in reality is not. Nothing is ever so urgent that can’t wait a few hours. And very rarely there are real emergencies. Trust me, the world won’t collapse if you don’t respond straight away ;-). And you can focus on the work at hand better if you avoid interruptions and distractions with whatever it’s coming your way.

Being your Best Self also means taking a “breather” before rushing to reply, not being always available and risking a burn-out.

See you and your Best more relaxed Self tomorrow x

I want to hear ‘the good, the bad and the ugly’. If you disagree with me or want to provide a different perspective, leave a comment. Tell me what’s on your mind.

Do remember though to be respectful and kind – we can agree to disagree, no need to be nasty. Thank you.
