ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: Be your best self – #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within -Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist
Building physical strength and endurance is the next step to be your Best Self, besides looking after your health, obviously.
We have been learning that we are enough together with celebrating and appreciating our body. Any woman out there understands when I say there is no more agony life feeling ugly, even if people say you are pretty – female anxiety and body image are linked.
But the external ideal of (filtered) perfection is unattainable, and in the continuous battle to achieve it, we punish and torture ourselves with diets, exercise and so on. We are beautiful even if we don’t fit the stereotypical “perfect”. Hence why we have shifted the focus on “healthy” and treating our body with love and kindness.
Commitment and self-discipline, though, are necessary. Not self-discipline as punishment but as an act of self-love, e.g. choosing every day what is in your best interest.
And it is definitely in your best interest to think about health first and particularly hormonal health.
BUILDING STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE
But it is also in your best interest to build strength and physical endurance. To discover your strength, you need to face fear, embracing whatever situation comes your way.
Strength is vulnerability. It’s able to take off the armour and let people see your flaws with unvarnished honesty. Strength is also the union of mind and body.
And as the physical strength grows, so the resilience. So take on a challenge, a physical challenge. Whatever that might be for you. Walking 10,000 steps per day ( even in front of your telly). Or use stairs everywhere instead of the lift—a challenge for you (check Physical Challenges For Any Age for inspiration).
You can do more than ever thought possible and become more vital than ever before.
Physically we are far more capable than we forgive ourselves credit for. The limitations we have are self-imposed ones; it’s the head that gives up before the body. It’s about training yourself to ignore the doubts and going for it. And when we challenge ourselves, we grow.
We are building a body that is healthy (the lifestyle, nutrition, hormonal balance) and physically and mentally strong. And THAT is beautiful.

Change starts from within; that’s why training your consciousness should be your Priority Numero 1 – a daily practice to silence your inner critic.
