Hello there, It is Day 2 of 7 Day to Self-appreciation challenge – only positive thoughts allowed. How did you do yesterday?

You perhaps thoughts it was going to be a breeze and instead found out that it requires more effort than you thought, right?

It is natural. We are so used to be bombarded with “bad” news, fill our mind with negative thoughts, listen to people (and ourselves) complain all the time that we are not quite used to focus on positive thoughts and aspects.

No worry though, it is a habit that requires practice, and, like everything else in life, when you start, you will not be an expert at it, but you will with practice.

And this is what we are doing here: purposely adding only positive thoughts (and actions) to positively Self-influence and ramp up Self-appreciation.

Positive thoughts (yours or others’) build your value day after day. And after a while, they become your beliefs.

This challenge kind of mirrors the No Negative Thoughts Allowed one.

On Day 1 (yesterday), we looked at meditation as a tool to connect with our innate worth. Meditation with the Monkey Mind/”dump the c*** off make the perfect pair: the freewriting outpours streams of consciousness and all the negativity out of your brain on a page. Meditation helps to create distance with your thoughts and release them.






Bookaholic and tapeaholic??? Are they real words???

Yes, that’s right, and well, I don’t know about that. I first heard this phrase in one of Rev. Ike sermons on YouTube, and the phrase stuck with me.

After removing/abstaining from listening or reading the news and all the c**p out there, you need to replace it with something that serves you. Inspirational, motivational, instructional thoughts that help you growing and becoming your Best Self.

Listen to podcasts, watch videos and movies, read books that support your journey into Self-appreciation.

The same way the media and the advertisers condition us, we can condition ourselves for OUR own best interest.

Become a bookaholic and tapeaholic. Fill your mind until it saturated with goodness, and then it can’t but pour out of you.

You see? There is a method in my madness.
