ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within – Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist – Do what works for you
Hello again, and welcome to this week’s topic: singlehood in all facets.
I want to begin by addressing the feminist angle, considering that I always talk about being a feminist and helping women achieve what they want. I want to be clear here: when I say I am a feminist, I mean I believe and advocate that women should have access to the same opportunities/jobs etc., that men have. It does not mean that women need to renounce what they really want and to pursue a top job/career if they do not wish to. Feminism, for me, is about choice—the choice to climb that ladder if you want to do so. Or to be a stay-at-home mother. The option to do whatever job/career inspires you. And the same applies to this topic.
Being single and doing everything alone is excellent and worthy for some people sometimes or always. But not everyone always wants to be their heroine: build your furniture, be resourceful, etc. So, yes, you can hire people to do things for you. But, again, not everybody can afford to do so. Or want to do so.
Some people sometimes want to be looked after. Or all of the time. And that is OK too.
DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU
You need to do what works for you, what satisfies your needs and wants and what makes you happy. It is all about choice. YOUR choice. If you do not want to be single and want a partner, it is OK.
Make sure you do not end up with ANY partner for fear of being alone.
Learn to love, value yourself first, and understand what you need and want. What pleases you and your boundaries.
Don’t be pressured to say or look at singlehood like the bastion of feminism if that is not what you want.
DO YOU. A-L-W-A-Y-S!
See you tomorrow x
