ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: Dream – Be your best self – #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within -Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist
Hi everyone.
Welcome back!
I have a question for you: Has your life turned out exactly how you envisioned it from secondary school?
Often, this isn’t the case. For example, I wanted to be a very different person than I am today, but my calling led me to my current career choice, and you know what, I have no regrets!
I attain true joy and happiness in knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of incredible women like you!
But here’s the thing: The choices we made during our school-going years haven’t gone according to that particular plan – life has a different path in store for us. Some of us entered professions that we never dreamed we would be in. Yet, at the same time, others are living their best lives in career paths that didn’t even exist twenty-odd years ago. The last two years alone changed the working world in unprecedented ways with work-from-home models that have been adopted and preferred over the conventional office model. I unpack this further in my business blog here.
Dream!
So, for today, knowing that life changes, and with it, our choices, I want to do a little exercise with you.
Yes, as the title suggests, I want you to close your eyes and envision your future.
I don’t mean a five-year plan dependent on your career growth, but instead, I want you to dream!
I want you to picture yourself in your future – a future in which you’re living your best life!
Think about where you are in the world, who is with you, and how you think you’re feeling at that moment.
Beyond your promotions, your job changes, or your success. That vision in your mind is what you should be aiming for – and you need to ask yourself whether you’re on the path to achieving it.
Your dream must become the focal point for your reality, and you can read more about developing your vision of your future here.
And while we are on the subject, let me leave you with another thought.
Think of your happiest memories, and then write down three of them. We will discuss the results in our next blog.
Stay tuned.
See you soon x
