ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: Halfway there – Be your best self – #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within -Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist
Hello everyone and welcome back.
I am buzzing with excitement for this festive season, and with it being on our doorstep. And we are halfway through the month and one step closer to Christmas!
In this year, we’ve all experienced moments that changed us that made us who we are now. And in some way, set us on a path for our future.
Every choice we make is essential and it forms a branch in our life’s path and leads us to something, somewhere or someone.
The trick is to choose the branch that is in your best interests, and that could be anything.
It could be towards a better career, a love interest, happiness – however you may define it.
The word ‘half’ always resonated with me as a point of interest. What do I mean by this? Well, please read on to find out.
The word ‘half’
It is said that a pessimist sees a half-filled glass as half empty.
An optimist sees the glass as half full.
A realist sees just the half.
I don’t think that we can use such a simple saying as a differentiator between optimism and pessimism, or even realism.
You may be interested in reading this article by the Mayo Clinic here and I believe that the glass is what we make it to be.
It could be our workload, where we know that we worked enough for now, and that our glass should be half empty with space to fill it with love and life.
It could be that our love and life is only half-filled, and that we have some space to fill our lives with more.
What we do know though, is that no matter how we look at the glass, we have a choice to fill it with more of the same, or more of something new and different.
My suggestion is this: fill your cup with what makes you happy and keep filling it throughout this festive season. That is the act of self-love.
You deserve it!
Until next time x
