Being Your Best is attached to so many things as we have seen—self-worth for one. Money is one of the ways that reveal how we feel about ourselves.

And for women and their relationship with money, the gap is not just with the #GenderPayGap and/or women representation on boards. It is also in the attitude and access to finances and investing with old paradigms still coming through.

Demystifying money and all the talk around it is the first step to real equality. Money is power. And being comfortable around it/talking about it/asking for it and wanting to earn (a lot) of money and not feeling either guilty or ashamed of it is a big stepping stone.


The mind-body connection


The mind/body connection got lots of exposure with Louise Hay in “You can heal your life“. In this groundbreaking book, she first discussed the mind-body connection between negative emotions and illness and how to ease and let go of health problems.

The same can be said for the relationship with money. Your feelings, programmed limitations related to family and society paradigms limit what you believe you can earn. Plus, it also limits your expectations and how hard you need to work to get them. AND how you feel about yourself.

What we think is an “outer game” is instead an “inner game”. A mind/body approach to money is, therefore, essential—you reflect your views.

There is a dynamic between you and your body. The limiting beliefs we have about money completely dictate our wealth picture. Consequently,  also self-worth and confidence. Eliminating the struggle and limitations related to money leads to a more rounded, fulfilled ( and rich) Best Self.

Start with recognising where the blocks are coming from and then reconstruct them.
