ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: Nightmares – Be your best self – #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within -Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist
Hello everyone, and welcome back!
Recently, we spoke about dreaming of your future and unpacking those dreams to set a plan in motion.
Dreams are a fascinating subject. Did you know that the study of dreams is called Oneirology? You can read more about the psychology of dreams here.
However, the kind of dream we’ve discussed differs because it is more a voluntary process, where you envision your future rather than the random scenarios within your sleeping state.
It is prudent to note that this future that we see for ourselves and are now working towards can evolve into nightmares. What do I mean by this? Please, read on, and I’ll explain.
How to stop your dreams from turning into nightmares
Sometimes, while chasing our dreams, we overlook minor occurrences that can lead to massive problems over time. It could be something as simple as a colleague disrespecting you at work. In turn, you may ignore this issue because you don’t want to ruffle any feathers, and you want to progress in your job.
But, let me tell you now, overlooking something as simple as that will only lead to further disrespect from that person and may even extend to the rest of your team.
You’ll note that I often speak about self-love and self-acceptance and understanding your worth will be vital in ensuring that others also know your value.
In our race to reach our futuristic vision, we tend to overlook the moments that devalue and destabilise our present. Remember that change starts within, and that change starts right now!
So, begin by ensuring that your current issues are immediately addressed, even by setting the proper boundaries. You cannot live a miserable present with the promise of a better tomorrow. By leaving our current problems unchecked, it creates a snowball effect, building day by day to become the stuff of nightmares.
So once again, close your eyes and dream!
See your future.
Now begin by removing any obstacles along the way, no matter how small they may be, to ensure that the future you see in your mind becomes a happy and healthy one.
Until next time x
