ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: Be your best self – #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within -Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist
Day 4 of 7 Day to Self-appreciation, the halfway point.
Are you experiencing some resistance? No worries, it is normal, change is uncomfortable, you’re stirring things up, and that means progress.
A bit like getting rid of addiction; you are going to have relapses. You are reprogramming your mindset, attitude, mind (conscious and subconscious) for your best interest.
And that can only be good.
You have practiced dumping the c***from your mind onto a page or two on Day 1 and then meditated. On Day 2, continued with the media/news “fast” and added motivational/inspirational positive books and tapes/videos. Then on Day 3, you turned your list of habitual negative thoughts and patterns into positives and repeated them for at least 90 seconds.
Yes, I am repeating myself. But that’s because repetition is the mother of all skills. And you are practicing a new skill here. Being positive. For your own best interest.
Today, we take a little step forward.
PAUSE
PAUSE. Take time for yourself. To do whatever you fancy, or nothing at all. The point here is dedicating time to yourself. To centre. And no, you’re not selfish.
BREATHE. Pause. Exhale.
And continue with the challenge … Day 4 to 7 Day to Self-appreciation over, easy non?
USEFUL READING
“The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle.
The book presents the concept of self-reflection and being present in the moment.
Only the present moment is real; be aware of it instead of losing yourself in worry and anxiety about the past or future; your thoughts create the past and future.
The human ego has adverse effects on happiness. Imagine that?
Available on Amazon.
Change starts from within; that’s why training your consciousness should be your Priority Numero 1 – a daily practice to silence your inner critic.
