It’s Day 7 of 7 Day to Self-appreciation. Congratulations on completing the challenge, you’ve made it!
Training your mind to deal with negative thoughts is the same as training your mind to view situations/events as opportunities FOR you. You are creating new neuropathways on your way from Self-acceptance to Self-appreciation which require focus.
THE POWER OF FOCUS
Focus, enabled by Self-discipline, is continuously choosing to think, say and do what is in your best interest, rather than detrimental. You know you are doing right when you are feeling good.
Computers have programs; we have thoughts that run us. Most of the time, they’ve got nothing to do with us but the results of societal and family paradigms.
“Paradigm = a mental program that has almost exclusive control over our habitual behaviour.
And almost all our behaviour is habitual” – Bob Proctor
But these paradigms run our habitual behaviour. And quite frankly, the majority of our behaviour is habitual. We can however build new habits with relentless focus. Focus on thinking, saying and doing not the easiest thing right now, but the best in our long term interest.
Success is a habit. Self-acceptance is a habit. Self-appreciation is a habit. And Self-love is a habit.
So it is Day 7 of 7 Day to Self-appreciation and the challenge is over now. The journey, however, is not.
See you tomorrow, let me know how you are doing, I’m here to help x
