Reflecting on your self-resilience
Hello everyone, ready to smash your glass ceiling?
We are almost at the end of our self-reflection month. However, these lessons are not limited to the September of 2021 but can be applied to the months and years, still to come.
In our previous blog post, we reflected on resilience in general. We briefly spoke about the advantages and revisited five ways to build resilience.
Today, though, is about you – it is a moment of self-reflection on your self-resilience.
Remember that homework you were given?
Well, let’s dive right in.
Your current self-reflection
Done right, building self-resilience lends a hand of assistance towards building a positive self-image, and from our recent posts, we know how important that is.
Self-reflection, as said previously, is about honesty and transparency.
By now, you should have a grasp on your emotional intelligence. Vastly different from IQ, your EQ – Emotional Intelligence – is an awareness to guide your decisions.
And while there are many ‘tests’ online to gauge your IQ and EQ, remember that an IQ test will measure your ability to solve problems, use logic, and ability to grasp or communicate complex ideas.
An EQ test, on the other hand, will measure your ability to recognise emotion in yourself and others and to use that awareness to guide your decisions. You may want to read more on this subject here.
Additionally, you should also be more aware of the types of coping mechanisms that work for you, and this becomes evident in how you previously faced challenging situations versus how you deal with them now.
In all self-reflection lessons, it is pertinent to be realistic.
That honesty that I mentioned above, again shows its face here. So, to manage your self-growth accurately, and precisely, you must be realistic, you must be honest, and you most certainly must be transparent with yourself.
As we are reaching the end of our self-reflection month, I do hope that you take heed of where you are, what you want to achieve in your life, and what you must do to get there.
Our goals may be the same, but our individual journeys are different.
The power of self-resilience, however, is vital for all of us.
Wield your POWER!
See you soon x
