Hello again, and welcome back.
I can’t believe we are already at the end of November. And Christmas is just around the corner, isn’t that amazing?
I think you can guess that I like Christmas, right? To give you an idea, my Christmas tree has been up for a while now. I do like Christmas; I like everything about it: the religious part, the family part, the spirit of it and even the commercial part.
The reality is you can/could carry the spirit of Christmas, of giving, of ….. all year round. So brief announcement, I will be doing a daily Advent style #shorts heading up to the 25 December to be our Best Christmas self.
But for now, in the last post for November, I’d like to focus on Remembrance and Thanksgiving.
REMEMBRANCE AND THANKSGIVING
In my last post, I talked about how we always chase future happiness, someday somehow, when something has happened. We should savour every moment and squeeze the heck out of it. Especially this month, the month of Remembrance. The future is not here; the past is gone but never forgotten. And what I mean here is not carrying your old and heavy baggage with you, like resentment, anger, everything bad that happened to you in the past, etc., etc …
I am talking instead of learning from past mistakes and events and honour and keeping our loving memories alive. And then give thanks for those memories, the people, the past and the present.
Never forget to be thankful for all the people that make your life a better, more loving place. The people who serve you the coffee in the morning and make you smile. The people that kindly let you go ahead in the supermarket queue because they see you only have one item. And your family, friends and loved ones. Never give them for granted. Cherish them.
Do not wait until they’ve gone.
See you on 1 December x
