Hello everyone, and welcome back!

Per our title today, I want you to stop being selfish to yourself.

I’ve mentioned this briefly before here.

Before you even think that this isn’t the case, then let me tell you that every time you’re not putting the thought of yourself first, you’re being selfish to the most important person here, and that is YOU!

As women, we tend to put others before ourselves often enough, whether it be our significant other, our kids, friends, or even our work.

However, by overlooking our own needs, we put ourselves at a disadvantage. We don’t function optimally, we stop making the connections we’d usually make when well-rested, and we, undoubtedly, find that our moods get the better of us.

So, ask yourself this: Why do you feel like you can conquer the world on some days, but on others, you find it difficult just to get out of bed?

It all boils down to you looking after yourself because let’s face it, if you don’t look after yourself, no one will.

Put yourself first and love your life!

Life is incredible.

Just sitting down and breathing deeply can reset your emotions, provide tranquillity, and improve your circulation.

And that is just breathing – when done with intent.

Similarly, by applying that level of intent into all that you do, you will find the beauty in every action of every day.

That intent must also be applied to you taking care of yourself.

If you feel that a run outside will help, do it.

When you feel that you need a haircut, get one.

If you feel that an extra five minutes in the bath can make a difference in your day, then take the time you need.

You’d rather spend five more minutes doing what you love before jumping into your tasks fully refreshed, than starting on your checklist with a disgruntled demeanour.

If five minutes can make such a difference in your day, imagine what making your self-care a habit can do for your entire life!

Remember that it begins with you – and if you don’t take the step towards your own happiness, you can’t expect anyone else to do that for you.

The New York Times always says that you should put yourself first, and you can read about that here.

Love your life and put yourself first!

Until next time x
