ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within – Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist – Take your life back
Hello again, and welcome back.
Yesterday we discussed scheduling your “homework”, your road to self-recovery to your fabulous self with some belief and good habits, at the best time to suit you. I use early mornings when I have big deadlines or tasks I need to do. What about you? What is the time when you are most productive and inspired? Or just the time when you can work best uninterrupted?
And no, it is not selfish to allocate some of that time to yourself and pursue your dreams rather than take care of everything or everyone else. Firstly, as they say, you can’t pour from an empty cup. I know it is a cliche, but it is painfully true.
Secondly, if you want to dust off your dreams or pursue new ones, you need to take your life back on track in the right direction towards those goals.
TAKE YOUR LIFE BACK
Taking your life back into your hands is extremely empowering, but you really need to be clear about what you want, what motivates you and what is the best vehicle to move you along the way.
And this means two things:
- How are you going to express yourself
- How are you going to channel and enable your progress?
I’m going to tackle number one for today, e.g. how are you going to express yourself, both verbally and visually, as this has to do with your self-concept and consequent self-talk.
Yes, I am going on, again, about self-concept/self-image because I am afraid that’s where it is at. You will never go further in life than what you think you can do. So start with your self/concept/image and the self-talk necessary. This means talking yourself up based on what you want to be and where you are going. You do not have to believe. It will come.
I understand if you might feel uncomfortable talking about yourself as if you have already achieved your end goal. So start with the next level up, your next vehicle ( which we will discuss more tomorrow).
And then also, how you express yourself visually, your “actual” image. I know most people, especially women, do not like when I say this, but we are living in a highly visual society where an image is worth a thousand words and where everybody is competing for attention. Image does count. Get over it. Choose one that expresses where you want to go as if you are ready there and showcase your bast qualities both physical and personality-wise. Make it authentic, though; you want be able to “live” with it.
And most of all, have fun.
See you tomorrow x
