ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: The Afterglow of Christmas – Be your best self – #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within -Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist
Hello everyone.
I hope that you’ve had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed your time with friends and family.
Even if you’ve spent Christmas alone, or were perhaps travelling, I do hope that you’ve felt some of Christmas joy.
I’ve always found that Christmas leaves me with an afterglow of sorts, with the feeling that anything is possible. I mean, after putting up the tree, baking and decorating enough for an entire village, then surely, we can handle anything that life still wishes to throw at us.
That glow that you feel – that invincibility – I wish I could bottle it and use it on down days – because let’s face it, we all have those downers now and then.
Remember this feeling as it is one that becomes particularly important with the dawn of the new year.
And while enjoying this afterglow, don’t immediately jump into resetting your home and cleaning up. Take a moment to yourself, put your feet up, you deserve it!
Put your feet up, you deserve it after this Christmas!
I’m going to say it one more time: Put your feet up, you deserve it!
Yes, I know that you feel that you have to take down the lights, bundle the tree, sweep away the needles – and you will get the chance to do all of that.
For now, what I want you to do is take a few minutes to yourself, run a hot bath, relax and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment.
Here are some tips on how to relax.
We often run at high levels of energy to make Christmas day perfect, only to forget to relax in that timeframe.
I’m guilty of this too, so this reminder is for you and me both.
So, breathe, reflect, and appreciate the magic that you brought to Christmas.
Because in our next post, our work for 2022 begins.
Until next time x
