The power of role models can accelerate your path to unlock, ignite and transform your life into your new higher Self-image.

You see, there is somewhere out there someone who has already achieved your new body/health, prosperous life, fantastic career and family life and your lover.

Someone who has gone through a tried and tested path towards your goal/s. And succeeded.

Your new Self-image has practical, real-life examples of it in action. Right now.

THE POWER OF ROLE MODELS

So far, we have talked about firstly having a compelling new story, one that really excites you. No false modesty. Dreaming big.

Once you got that, we talked about telling your story – every day – reading it out loud morning and evening with emotion. Secondly, we talked about acting your story—little by little. And then seeing your story both using visualisation and surrounding yourself with images of your new story – a vision board.

But then there is a way to accelerate the path, and that is with role models.

“If you want to be successful,

find someone who has achieved the results you want and

copy what they do and you’ll achieve the results” – Tony Robbins

Role models can help in different ways.

They show your logical mind that it is actually possible to change yourself into what you want to be. And you can succeed. They also provide you with a formula. The “how-to”.

My tips here:

  • choose role models who have actually achieved and maintained success (in whatever field). What I mean here, if you want to be a millionaire, pick someone who has BECOME a millionaire and still is a millionaire in the field you want
  • pick role models who inspire you, that you like and admire, not just for their success – it will make it easier
  • look at how they achieved their results, and how they relate to whom you want to become. It needs to fit with the new Self-image you want to create and sustain. For example, let’s say you want to lose weight, and you are currently a carnivore who is sedentary. You like some fitness influencer who lost a lot of weight by exercising every day and being vegan, unless that’s what you want to become, then pick another role model. You want a path that is congruent with the new you.

And then binge. Read and watch, listen to them, their story and so on. This, coupled with the other work we discussed so far, will push you forward tenfold. Or at least give you a path and reinforce the belief you can change in your subconscious mind.

Every little helps.

Good work for this week. Have a lovely weekend, and I see you Monday for the next steps x

USEFUL READING

“Psycho-Cybernetics” by Maxwell Maltz.

Psycho-Cybernetics is a terminology originally coined by Dr Maxwell Maltz in the 1960s, further explained in this bestselling book. Here, Maltz explains that our self-image controls our ability or inability to achieve any goal.

In this book, you can find techniques for improving and managing self-image visualization, mental rehearsal and relaxation – a prescription for thinking and actions leading to quantifiable results—one of my 4 books of the month.

Available on Amazon.
