Through the spoken word, man is continually making laws for himself,” said Florence Shinn.

The Power Of The Spoken Word is book four of four, part of the anthology  The Complete Works of Florence Shinn (like The Game of Life). This book consists of a collection of notes and memoranda by Florence Shinn; it is full of familiar and practical, and everyday examples ( please do bear in mind they are examples from the last century).

“Your words are containers for power, and by the words you speak you frame your world!” – Paula White

I can’t emphasise enough how important it is the language that we use. Your spoken words phrase how you view the world and your place in it. It creates “the box” you slot in. And how you face adversity and opportunities.

What you say you are becomes what you believe. And what you believe you are, you become. So STOP talking your self down, envision your new self/life and then start talking yourself up.

Use the power of the spoken word to your advantage. Go on, start practising…

See you tomorrow x

Change starts from within; that’s why training your consciousness should be your Priority Numero 1 – a daily practice to silence your inner critic.

I want to hear ‘the good, the bad and the ugly’. If you disagree with me or want to provide a different perspective, leave a comment. Tell me what’s on your mind.

Do remember though to be respectful and kind – we can agree to disagree, no need to be nasty. Thank you.
