ThePeopleAlchemist Edit:  Be your best self – #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within -Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist

Moving from self-critical to self-acceptance starts from the Woman in the Mirror.

No matter how pretty people say you are, there is no more agony life feeling ugly when you look at yourself in the mirror. Or looking at an unflattering photo of yourself, thinking you should look thinner, younger or whatever. No woman avoids experiencing this feeling sometimes in her life. Female anxiety and body image are unfortunately linked.

Firstly, no dieting (they don’t work, stop it!) or creams and potions we use to smooth those wrinkles can change this. And more so, neither more drastic cosmetic procedures ( botox, fillers, proper surgery, you name it) work.

“Self-acceptance starts with the woman in the mirror. It starts with you” – Laura Mariani

You see, all these things are fixes for the symptoms. They do not address the cause. Behind lack of self-acceptance lurks the inner critic that keeps nagging “You are not good enough” and therefore ” You don’t deserve” the job, the love, the money, whatever.

If you can’t stand the sight of yourself, how could anyone else?

ACCEPTING YOURSELF IS ABOUT RESPECTING YOURSELF.

IT’S ABOUT HONOURING YOURSELF RIGHT NOW. HERE TODAY, IN THIS MOMENT.

NOT JUST WHO YOU COULD BECOME SOMEWHERE DOWN THE LINE” – KRIS CARR

So, it is all about baby steps. I know I’ve said it before but, to start with, commitment to yourself and self-discipline/self-love. Release yourself from the self-blaming, self-loathing cycle. Self-acceptance starts from the Woman in the Mirror. It starts with you.

See you tomorrow x

Change starts from within; that’s why training your consciousness should be your Priority Numero 1 – a daily practice to silence your inner critic.

Hi there, I hope you enjoyed this post. Please do provide me with feedback.

I want to hear ‘the good, the bad and the ugly’. If you disagree with me or want to provide a different perspective, leave a comment. Tell me what’s on your mind.

Do remember though to be respectful and kind – we can agree to disagree, no need to be nasty. Thank you.
