ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: Wield Technology to Your Advantage – Be your best self – #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within -Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist
Hello there and welcome back!
It has been a busy month for us as we delved into some highly important topics, causes, and movements. And, excitingly, for me, the upcoming launch of my new book (stay tuned for more on this).
Today, in our self-improvement journey, I would like to touch on the topic of technology. And yes, I have previously written about using technology and not letting it use you, a blog post that you can revisit here.
Technology is part of our everyday lives, and while many people speak about depression caused by phone usage, or a negative life outlook after spending some time reading through the news, it is often said that to live a fulfilling life, one must give up technology.
But this isn’t necessarily true.
Technology can be a burden if wielded incorrectly – however, with the right usage, it can be a boon.
So today I want to spice things up a little bit, and share a few noteworthy apps, tricks, and tips to help you get the most out of your day, and better manage everything that life may throw at you.
The best technology to reset, refresh, and ignite your day
I have found Moodfit to be perfect for setting goals, including self-care, and workouts. In addition to using the journal to track thoughts, ideas, and opinions.
This app has also proved to be beneficial for mindful meditation and breathing exercises.
Another favourite for me is Duolingo, a unique app that has taken the world by storm in assisting you with learning new languages. It has a brilliant reminder and fun, interactive lessons that make learning to speak in a new tongue easily and in very little time.
We all have good days and bad days. To regain a happy fix, you should try the app called Happify. It has a variety of engaging games, activities, suggestions, and even gratitude prompts to help you through difficult moments.
So, whether you decide to organise your day, your mind or learn a new language, or perhaps, even take on a few mind-boosting activities, there is probably an app to satisfy that need.
Technology isn’t all that bad and it goes both ways, and if you use technology wisely, you will find it to be fruitful. If it wasn’t for technology on a whole, how would I share some of my ‘Be Your Best Self’ advice with you no matter where in the world you may be?
For tech, I have this to say as a reminder again: Use it, don’t let it use you!
Until next time x
