ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within – Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist – You can travel the world
Hello again, and welcome back.
Today is part 2 of the solo travelling subject.
As I said before, I love doing what I like, when I like, including travelling abroad, and I touched on the subject in a previous blog; click here to read.
Yesterday I talked about an intro to solo travelling with staycations (e.g. going on a solo holiday in your own country as opposed to foreign travel) and matching the going away with something special to see or experience (a food festival, an exhibition and so on).
YOU CAN TRAVEL THE WORLD
But nothing beats foreign travel, seeing completely new places/sceneries and experiencing new cultures. Well, at least for me. I feel is an accelerated learning experience on other humans. Obviously, there is still the language issue (depending on where you go); however, you can surely string a sentence or two between Google Translate, local guides, and the many different language apps available. And people will appreciate your willingness to at least try rather than automatically assume that everybody speaks and understands English. To be fair, many just want to practice English, so they’ll probably switch.
For the issue of safety, especially as a woman travelling alone, there are resources and advice that you access to help. I found the excellent Solo Female Travellers (solofemaletravelers.club and facebook.com/groups/solofemaletravellers with 177.8k members worldwide) with women members from over 100 countries. It is advice from women to women and it allows to have a community on line to share your passion/love for travel, culture and so much more.
Get to know other humans and their culture. Your life will be incredibly enriched.
See you tomorrow x
